Made in Brazil (MIBR)

MIBR (Made in Brazil) is a pro esports organization focusing on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege. Here’s what you need to know about MIBR, including their history, the current player rosters, and random acts about them!

HISTORY

MIBR was a member of the G7 Teams, a global association of professional esports teams. On March 1, 2003, the organization was founded in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, when Paulo Vellosso wanted to invest in his son’s dream. Although MIBR was initially dissolved in 2012, the organization announced a return in 2015, going back to active play years later in 2018 till today.

In January 2018, MIBR was bought by Immortals, where they reformed the roster of MIBR with core members in the same year, including those in the Luminosity Gaming and SK Gaming roster that won the MLG Columbus Major and ESL One Cologne in 2016. In 2019, Immortals’ Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege roster lineup was transferred to MIBR.

In 2020, CS: GO coach Ricardo “dead” Sinigaglia got banned from all notable tournaments for abusing a bug that gave him an advantage over competing teams as a coach. Later in this same year, “dead,” “Fer,” and “TACO” were removed by MIBR due to poor results in the previous months. Simultaneously, Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo announced his self-benching from the active MIBR.

Vito “kNgV-” Giuseppe also said he disagreed with removing some of the past coaches, leaving only “kNgV”- and “Trk” remaining on the active lineup, the newest members.
