General FAQ

The challenge will start on July 21 at 06:00 AM PST and will end on Aug 4 at 06:00 AM PST (2 weeks).

ELIGIBILITY

The campaign is available for PC only (no other gaming platforms are eligible).

Participation in the challenge is restricted to the US.

You have to be 18+ to participate.

You must have the Buff application installed, up to date, and running during your game sessions to accumulate points. Make sure that Overwolf’s overlay is enabled for your game(s).

Buff reserves the right to exclude and disqualify any participants, remove points, and address suspected fraudulent behavior, including but not limited to non-human actions, playing against bots, multiple account creation, and other forms of manipulation to gain points. Hourly and daily point caps are in place to prevent account sharing and mitigate other fraudulent activities. Violation of these terms may result in disqualification from winning the grand prize and contest participation in general.

Each participant is eligible to win the micro prize up to one time, and the grand prize up to one time per game.

Please note that violating these terms may result in a permanent ban of your Buff account, with no possibility of recovery.

How to participate in the challenge: 

1. Download Buff and sign in
2. Click on the Sound is Survival Challenge icon on the Buff menu left bar
3. Follow the onboarding process 
4. Launch Apex Legends / Overwatch and Play

The rewards will be given as follows:

You can win rewards by playing Apex Legends and Overwatch. Here’s how the rewards will be distributed:

• First 300 players to complete a challenge in any game will win a $10 Amazon Gift Card each!

• All players who complete all 4 challenges in a game will earn a raffle ticket for that game’s raffle. There will be two raffles — one per game — for JBL Quantum Gaming Headsets, with ten Grand Prize winners selected per game. Available headset models include JBL Quantum 950X, JBL Quantum 650X, and JBL Quantum 250.

Challenges to Complete:

Apex Legends:

• Quantum Streak – Win 20 matches
• Quantum Overload – Deal 20,000 total damage
• Team Echo – Assist 100 times
• JBL Dominance – Complete 10 matches with KDA above 4

Overwatch:

• Quantum Streak – Win 15 matches
• Sound Hunter – Eliminate 250 enemies
• Team Echo – Assist 150 times
• Quantum Dominance – Get more than 10 eliminations in a single match

During the game, notifications will appear indicating that you are participating in the Sound is Survival Challenge.

The notifications will be shown for a few seconds and then disappear.

* Please note! If you turn off the in-game notifications, it will cause an automatic withdrawal of your challenge participation!

The Rewards Will Be Given As Follows:

In the Winner List tab, you can check if you’ve won any rewards from the challenge. The grand prize winners will be contacted directly via email.

Join the JBL Quantum Sound Is Survival Challenge for a chance to win gaming gear and gift cards. Compete in Apex Legends and Overwatch 2 to earn rewards.

Winners are required to respond to verification emails within one week of the initial notification. Failure to respond will result in two follow-up emails sent to the winner’s provided email address. If no response is received within this timeframe, the prize will be automatically awarded to the next eligible participant in line, and so forth, until a responsive winner is confirmed. Participants are responsible for regularly checking their email, including spam folders, for prize verification communication.

If you’re eligible for the raffle, you can join it through the Winners List tab. If you win, our team will manually review your match history to ensure compliance with the rules. Once verified, we’ll contact you with further details about the redemption process. If any fraudulent activity is detected, the prize will be awarded to the next eligible participant.

If you choose to cancel your participation in the challenge, you can do it on Buff’s settings tab.
