Ninja Gamer

“Ninja” (real name: Tyler Blevins) is a full-time Fortnite streamer from the United States.

Tyler “Ninja” Blevins was born on June 5, 1991, in Detroit, Michigan, and now lives in Chicago, Illinois. Since the debut of Fortnite in 2017, he has become one of the most popular Twitch streamers and YouTubers. Thanks to his cheerful demeanour and exceptional in-game abilities, the Ninja has become a Twitch icon. Ninja is 28 years old, is 6 feet 1 inch tall, and is reported to be worth $10 million.

When Blevins was a year old, Ninja and his family relocated to Illinois, and he has lived there ever since. Ninja inherited his passion for video games from his father, who used to play Sega daily. He’s always been a video game prodigy, often defeating his brothers, Jonathan and Chris, in every game. Ninja also liked playing soccer in high school and giving it his all in every video game he played. Blevins chose the moniker “Ninja” after a classic Halo technique in which you outsmarted your opponent by hopping above their head and back smacking them. Ninja’s streaming career started in January 2011 when Blevins was still in college. Later that year, he was signed as a professional Halo player with UoR Invictus.

Tyler “Ninja” Blevins has played for various teams throughout his six-year career, but he found the most success when Fortnite was released in 2017. Ninja’s fun Twitch channel expanded because of the massive popularity of Fortnite, and his followers increased by 250 per cent from September 2017 to February 2018. The Ninja has also achieved some twitch viewing records, including his live stream with Drake and JuJu Smith-Schuster and the Ninja Vegas 2018 Event. He also played alongside Marshmello in the 2018 Celebrity Fortnite Pro-Am Tournament, which he won. Finally, in September 2018, Ninja was the first esports player to be featured on the cover of ESPN magazine. On August 1, 2019, Ninja revealed that he was shifting his streams to Mixer, Microsoft’s streaming platform, a Twitch competitor.
