The jump-throw bind changed CS:GO forever. The move lets players jump and throw smoke grenades with a single button and mouse click. The main advantage, besides time saved, involves greater control of your throws, contrary to the inconsistency that players once felt. How to Create and Master the Jump-Throw Bind Permanently

These steps may seem scary if you don't have much experience with computers, but they're actually super easy to follow!

  1. Open your Steam library and right-click on CS:GO
  2. Click on Properties, then click on Set Launch Options
  3. In the text box, type -console and click OK
  4. Launch CS:GO
  5. Open the console by pressing the ~ key
  6. Type the following command into the console: bind "KEY" "+jumpthrow"
  7. Replace "KEY" with the key you want to use for the jump-throw bind, such as "V" or one of the programmable buttons on your gaming mouse
  8. Press Enter to set the bind
  9. Type the following command into the console: alias "+jumpthrow" "+jump; -attack; -attack2; wait; +attack2; -jump"
  10. Press Enter to set the alias
  11. Type the following command into the console: host_writeconfig
  12. Press Enter to save the changes to your config file
  13. Close the console
  14. Exit CS:GO

As for mastering this move, select a grenade and use your bind. It might take a little conscious effort in the beginning to break the habit of pressing the inputs separately but after a few games and some practice scenarios, you'll become more than comfortable at utilizing the benefits of the jump-throw bind.

Is the Jump-Throw Bind Against the Rules?

The jump-throw bind technique is legal, and most tournaments, like StarLadder, made it official in 2019. It may be banned in specific competitive gaming events, so always double-check before you use it when playing competitively.
