Valorant is Riot Games' take on the ever-popular FPS genre. With gameplay much like CS: GO in Riot's stunning art style, the game is a huge hit in the competitive scene. In fact, as of late, Valorant seems to be doing better than CS: GO in the eSports scene.

If you're keen on experiencing that competitive Valorant action, you might eventually come across an error message saying "Queue is disabled." Perhaps it's exactly what brought you here. Well, here's what to do if you ever find that error message when trying to grind through your ranks.

How to Fix Valorant's Competitive Queue Error

I won't beat around the bush—the short answer is that there is nothing you can do, and that's because everyone's "Queue is disabled."

The long answer? Well, much like its counterpart from Source, Valorant is a live service game, which means there are constant updates and additions to the game, from cosmetics to new maps, operators, and agents. Plus, at any given point during the day, there are hundreds of ranked games that are in progress around the world, which means that sending out one of those new updates could interrupt loads of matches.

With players' ranks on the line, I, too, would be frustrated if an update made my ranked game shut down or bug out. To avoid this issue, Riot shuts down the queue for everybody, so they can add new content.

In other cases, if a bug or glitch is being exploited, Riot might shut the servers down to patch that up, and you'll receive the same message about your ranked queue being disabled. If you wanna read up on why exactly the servers are down, cast your eyes on the Valorant's Twitter page, where they post updates on what's going on in real time.
