Is it better to buy gloves or knife skins using Buff points in CS:GO?

I can't decide if I should be using my hard-earned Buff points to buy a weapon skin for my XM1014 (shotgun) or a pair of Driver's Gloves for my agent character. Do any of you know whether gloves increase my armor count in CS:GO?

Gloves are purely cosmetic, just like the skin on your auto-shotty, it wont provide you with any extra benefit in-game. If it was me making the decision, id 100% go for the gloves, no matter how cool that shotty skin looks, coz you'll always see your cool gloves, and only ever see the shotgun skin when you buy a shotty in-game.
