Do you need a good PC to play CS:GO?

Some of my friends have been playing CS:GO for ages and they asked me to join, but I've always avoided lots of games because my PC is not the best. I tried to play Overwatch and Valorant on low-to-medium settings, but it was a terrible experience. Apparently, CS:GO is better? I'm not planning to chase ranks, but I don't want to make my friends lose games cause of my bad PC.

Since CS: GO was released you've never needed a great PC to play, but you'll benefit from having a good PC that can run a monitor with a higher framer rate and resolution, as more detail and faster reaction speed = better gameplay.
