Hey guys. After playing Valorant for a few months, my rank is now gold, but I don't really know what that means... What determines my rank in Valorant? In general, how does the ranking system work?

Hey there! Well done on being in Gold, that means you're on par with the majority of ranked players in Valorant, according to players-per-rank stats. As for what determines your rank increase, there are many hidden factors, but generally winning games and performing well will result in your rank going up to the next tier.
