How does the performance of my teammates affect my rank in Valorant?

Does individual performance in the game even matter? Like, if I play really well, but my teammates don't, will it affect my rating? Or, the other way around, can I actually get carried by good teammates if I happen to have a bad day or simply make a few mistakes?

The devs of Valorant have admitted your MMR change takes a lot more into account than just winning a game or getting kills (or your team's performance). Though we don't know exactly what those extra factors are, you can definitely count on your individual performance making all the difference in your MMR.
